Spanning more than 7,000 square feet of living space under one roof, this elegant four-bedroom, three-bath retreat features seamless indoor-outdoor connections that allow Kauai’s natural elements to permeate the home and create a unique sense of place. Visionary architect Shay Zack has brought Hale Malie to life as a contemporary Hawaiian classic imbued with elegance and sophistication yet rooted in simplicity, allowing you to truly experience and enjoy the relaxed Hawaiian lifestyle. Please keep in mind that there is a seven night minimum stay requirement.

The great room features a signature vaulted redwood ceiling with exposed beams and a window wall facing the Pacific Ocean, creating an open, bright, and inviting space. The great room opens out onto a vast lanai bordering the infinity edge pool, which juts outward from its enviable elevated vantage point to offer commanding views of Kauai’s verdant landscape and the Pacific Ocean beyond. The two outward corners of the infinity pool contain fire bowls that can be lighted with the flick of a wall switch, while additional built-in tiki torches on the pool deck create a romantic tropical atmosphere to complement the chromatic south shore sunsets and bring light to the evenings.

The kitchen meets the needs of the most demanding home and professional chefs alike with its array of luxury appliances, including a Wolf range and oven, a Sub-Zero refrigerator-freezer, a wine refrigerator, a warming drawer, and a Miele whole bean coffee system.

Hale Malie is an ideal retreat for couples or friends traveling together. The main house of this residence sleeps four and features two primary suites on opposite wings. One primary suite features a king bed and a generous en suite bathroom with a deep soaking tub, outdoor garden shower, attached office, walk-in closet, and private lanai. The second primary suite features a king bed and an en suite bathroom with an indoor shower and outdoor garden shower, walk-in closet, and private lanai. You’ll pass the koi pond on your way to the detached 'ohana (guest house) which sleeps four in two bedrooms with king beds, private garden showers, and a stone tub.

Our stay at this Kauai home was absolutely unforgettable. The ocean views were stunning—like living inside a postcard—and the infinity pool and hot tub were pure bliss.
The open layout was perfect for our family, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the island breeze. We especially loved the outdoor showers, which added a fun, tropical touch.
We were initially concerned about a previous review mentioning nearby construction, but it turned out to be a non-issue. The house was always peaceful and felt like our own private retreat.
Honestly, we hardly wanted to leave. Whether it was coffee at sunrise or stargazing by the pool, everything about this home felt like paradise. 5 stars!

Seriously, one of the best homes I've experienced via Airbnb. The house is spectacular in every way (design, functionality, beauty and its surrounding views). The attention to details throughout the house (design & functionality) is truly world-class. We absolutely fell in love with this home. The open air design, with spacious open rooms, which all lead out to a large terrace and infinity pool is breathtaking. The home has a peaceful and tranquil quality to it. Our only issue concerning the property was the construction noise abutting the property. It will be important to coordinate with the host in advance as to whether there will be any construction projects with neighboring properties. Aside from this, the property is truly amazing.

Wow! This view was absolutely breath taking. The home was spectacular. The cleanliness and quality were absolutely unbelievable! I imagine it is the best quality on the whole island!
They were super responsive and helpful and always had everything we needed from cribs to proper running strollers and every request was met in a timely manner.
I’m here in FIJI at a 5 star resort as I write this and our villa here doesn’t even compare in quality to this house!
